Completing this course will contribute 1 hour and 30 minutes of NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) Accredited PD in the priority area of Delivery and Assessment of NSW Curriculum/EYLF addressing Standard Descriptor(s) 2.5.2 from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers towards maintaining Proficient Teacher Accreditation in NSW.

Completing Pre-Reading for 3-5 years LIVE will contribute 2 hours of NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) Accredited PD in the priority area of Delivery and Assessment of NSW Curriculum/EYLF addressing standard descriptors 2.1.2, 2.5.2 from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers towards maintaining Proficient Teacher Accreditation in NSW.

Course includes:
- literacy according to EYLF
- speech, oral and language development
​​​​​​​- play based learning and literacy
- 5 pre reading skills explained
- vocabulary and comprehension
- effective, simple games and strategies to help with pre-reading
- ways to innovate on a text
- how to incorporate pre-reading skills into the daily routine

Participants will be sent a link to a google drive with an abundance of resources.

School Readiness: Literacy and Numeracy- A course for parents

(targeted age group: preschoolers 3-5 year olds)

How do children learn in today’s society?
What skills do young children need?
STEAM Links to EYLF
What is STEAM?
Why do we need to expose STEAM to our young children?
How can we approach/support STEAM in early childhood?

This webinar will focus on:
